(almost) Wordless Wednesday

Today please keep in your thoughts, hearts and prayers

My son Josh who shipped out to Marine boot camp on Monday
and all others out there serving our country.

All of the people in Colorado that are being affected by the fires that
we have going on at the moment. Especially our blogger friend
Christi that is in the evacuation area in Colorado Springs.

My heart just goes to my throat seeing those pictures. I thank your son for defending my freedom.
Best of everything for him during his time.
I've been seeing those fires on the news-how horrible. It's so dry around here, we're in a ban for any kind of burning-crazy stuff.

I've been thinking about and those fires and wondering if they've been affecting you.

I thank your son for his service to our country!

So scary! I got an email from Steve and Kathleen and they are pretty sure their house is gone :(.

Your son's going to do great! You raised a fine young man there, lady. Be super proud (and a teeny bit sad :)).

(hugs)

I'm already thinking about everyone affected by the fires...and now I will send some prayers your son's way, too. I have a lot of Marines in my family (four of my boy cousins!) and they are exceptional people. He will make you proud (even if it's hard now). Glad you got to spoil him a little before he left!

One mom to another - I want to reach out and grab Josh for a big hug. I know we teach them to grow up and leave the nest, but wanting to protect them is a pretty strong urge too. Thoughts and prayers to BOTH of you.
