Visions of Cupcakes danced through my head...

My first easy run - 3/15 2 miles

Run number 2 - 3/17 6.2 miles a good hillyish run in the wind. But felt good.

Run number 3 - 3/20 8 miles with some of the people from Beginner Triathlete. Kathleen and I ran all 8 together and it was nice to have some company.

Run number 4 - 3/23 2 miles this run was straight out of bed. Good thing it's dark out at 5 am since I'm kind of scary looking that early.
(In case you haven't noticed I really need a newer Garmin too! )

Run number 5 - 3/26 8 miles. I put this run off the evening before and even laid in bed this morning at 5 knowing it would be my only chance to get out there and get it done before the end of the time limit, had it not been for this race I'm not sure it would have happened. So I'm very happy that I had the push I needed. I took the dog out for the first almost 3 miles then stopped by the house to drop him off, potty and head out for the rest of the run. The last couple miles seemed a little rough but over all I was pleased with my pace and effort. Although as usual when a run is a little challenging, I start to question if I will be able to do the race coming up, which in this case is a 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks.

26.2 miles 5 hours 18 minutes...as this last run also kicked off the beginning of 5 days off work I was heading to breakfast and a pedicure with a friend. What a treat after the run. And since I had forgotten to take a pic with my bib here are my much better looking feet with it.

And also in celebration a batch of Buckwheat bake muffins with peanut butter and jelly baked in the middle, not quite a cupcake but close and delicious!

Tons of thanks to Jason at Cook Train Eat Race and Christel at Silly Girl Running for putting this whole thing together!
