Three Thing Thursday - Updates

1. I went to the chiro again Tuesday. I was feeling as if my old body was falling apart. My neck, lower back and of course my ass still hurt. She adjusted me and gave me over to the intern they have working for them who did a little ART on my neck and ass. Oh the pain of it. Some was hurts so good, and some just HURT! I was sore after, really sore. I awoke the next morning feeling bruised and sore. I awoke this morning feeling amazing! Ok that might be a bit of an exaggeration but the best I've felt rolling out of bed for over a week. Not that all the pain is gone I can still feel some twinges, but overall much better!

2. Not a lot happened this way in the way of exercise. I did get some workouts in, including a bike ride last weekend which was glorious! The weather is suppose to be good again this weekend so I hope to get out and ride again. As well as go ahead and try a run. I'm scared to try.

3. This past 2 weeks in attempt to get a hold of my eating I cut out pretty much all carbs. Well I started out that way, the last few days a few have been consumed, but all in all I'm feeling much more in control of what I put in my mouth and even managed to drop a few pounds. I know that when I start to eat the empty calories that are candy/white bread/potato's and even to much fruit, on a regular basis I soon spin into a downward spiral. Hopefully I've got a handle on that now.

So how was your week? I'll be posting Foody Friday tomorrow so make sure to think about the best thing you ate all week and be prepared to describe it to us so we all drool!

Too much fruit is bad for you?

Good for you for controlling the food. I got back on the weight-train-going-down the other day. I've lost a little bit and have more to go. Keep up the good work!

I too have gotten back on the good food wagon and it's going great so far! I need to make a few adjustments, more calories and protein overall but am glad I started now. My goal for November is to lose 5lbs and I'm already at 4, yay. Glad things are feeling better for you. I love my chiro but ART, ouch!!

I spiral too when I eat refined carbs. I'm good with the whole ones though.

This might not be a surprise...but i have a weakness for carbs. So I applaud you for being able to cut back! Enjoy the nice weather this weekend and if you attempt a run I hope it is a good one!

Nice job on the carb control...oh wait, did you slip on some Halloween candy recently, though? Thought I heard a rumor about that! Well, you'll get back on track - be stronger than the dumb candy (I'm not, but you are!).

I'm sorry your ass still hurts!! You seriously should go to a PT and get a muscle imbalance...it's probably just a matter of strengthening those weak muscles. I'm tell ya, you won't regret it. Hopefully this last ART session will help and you won't need to but if it's not better then think about it girlie!!

The weather has been so nice-ish, hope you get in a nice ride this weekend! I so need to get on my bike!!!

I'm sorry about your neck/back! That must be so frustrating! I'm glad your chiro gave you some relief!

I'm doing better with the Halloween candy (because there isn't any of it here in the house any more), but I'm still "eating around the edges" too much. Sigh. Lucky, I guess, that it's not alcohol or tobacco I crave, right?

Sucks to get old doesn't it?!! LOL
The daily aches and pains....ugh!

My week was spent taking care of a sick child and a sick cat...antibiotics for everyone!

Have a great weekend!
