The best thing I ate this week? I'm trying to remember and struggling to tell you the truth...the soup I made was for sure a contender but I think I'm going to go with the Italian Sausage sandwich I had at work on Wednesday. Every year we do a customer appreciation lunch at work. The owner of the company makes Italian sausage, meatball and Italian beef sandwiches we serve to the customers. (See #3 from The Thursday Three) One good thing came out of this and that was the fact that the Italian sausage sandwich I had was TO-DIE-FOR...this was without a doubt some of the best sausage I’ve had, (he gets it from and Italian Deli every year)it is soft and slightly spicy the sauce was perfect, the rolls the perfect mix of crusty and soft and the hot pepper on top yummy! It was so messy and delicious! And since this is the only time of year I have one it was much enjoyed

Now it’s your turn...I want you tell me the best thing you ate...and remember it is all in the description, make my mouth water!

That was a low cal, low fat Italian sausage sandwich, right? :)

Probably the best thing I WILL have this week to eat is when we take Abbey out for her 21st birthday tonight and going to....*drum roll*....LA LOMA!! Can you believe that she asked for that restaurant? (her and the ex went there a few times...and it's conveniently located with my Northern family members). But since that hasn't happened yet, to pick something more recent is going to be boring because I am the most bland cook out there. Last night I made taco salad and it was actually pretty good. I know, how sad!

I told you in your last post that I was making these. They were fantastic! I don't recommend making them unless you want to gain 5 pounds in a couple hours. But oh man were they good! http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2011/07/21/chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-brownies/

Wish I could say it was homemade...but my best meal this week was a take-out lunch from the Indian place near my office. Spicy dal (lentil stew), curried roasted vegetables (potatoes, zuchini, eggplant and carrots) and the most amazing melt-in-your-mouth naan bread you can imagine. Husband has been sick, sleep has been thin, and I figured I should load up on spices to help ward off the germs. Worked like a charm (knock wood) - the tickle in my throat vanished and hasn't come back!

I'd have to say the best thing I ate this week was some homemade soup I put together from a left over beef roast. Tons of veggies and beef, turned out great! Anything homemade is the best.....
