Chapters of my Life
Chapter 1
I walked down the sidewalk and
fell into a deep hole.
I couldn't’t get out and I couldn’t figure out why.
It wasn’t my fault.
It took a long time to get out.
Chapter 2
I walked down the sidewalk and
fell into the same hole again.
I couldn’t understand.
It wasn’t my fault.
This time it was easier to get out.
Chapter 3
I walked down the sidewalk and fell into the same hole again.
This time I understood why and it was my fault.
This time it was easier to get out.
Chapter 4
I walked down the sidewalk and saw the same big hole.
I walked around it.
I didn’t fall into that hole.
Chapter 5
I chose another sidewalk

Why is it I seem to be stuck...stuck in about Chapter 3, although I don't know if it is any easier to get out. My exercise has been pathetic, my eating also pathetic. My will to change it is strong one moment and weak the next. I have so many things I want to do but can't seem to follow through with the things I need to get there. Is it winter? Is it loneliness? Is it depression? Is it just plain lazy? I can do it, I know I can. I must do it. One day at a time. Everyday you make the right choices and do the things that need to be done it becomes easier to do it again the next day. I can do it...I will do it....

Julie--This winter has been terrible so far. It's so easy to get down when we have so little sun and so much cold weather.
You'll pull through it. Your inner athlete won't let you stay down. :)
I believe in you too!
If you ever need motivation, just email me. I'd be happy to meet for a run. We can run, run/walk, or even crawl as long as it's something!
(Running of the Green's site is
http://www.rotg.org/ but I'm warning you. This race is ALWAYS brutal cold. I'm also doing Cherry Creak Sneak with my sons and my sister. She walks it with my youngest son. My oldest runs it with me).
I don't mean to sound like a creep stalker type either. I just know what it's like to get motivated and stay motivated. Sometimes it helps to complain to someone.
So sorry to hear of your rough times. Love the chapter story, that's cool. I'm sure once you get that "a-ha" moment, you'll be right back into it.
Just remember this: if you feel your worth it, you'll do it everyday!
I hope things turn around for you quickly-just jump back on the wagon.
